Castle Rock Water
The Town of Castle Rock and Castle Rock Water understand that our residents are experiencing unique hardships with the COVID-19 pandemic. Castle Rock Water continues to provide safe and reliable water service throughout our community. We have made accommodations for our crews to be in the field, and there should not be any disruptions in water service.
At this stage of the declaration of emergency, we are continuing to identify ways to assist our customers. We continue to waive late and non-payment fees. We have options for customers to establish payment plans. Castle Rock Water has also developed a customer assistance program for our residential and small business customers who are experiencing financial hardships during this emergency. Please visit CRgov.com/CRWaterCares for details. Other community resources can be found at Douglas County Human Services (303) 668-4825 / www.douglas.co.us. We will keep our community informed as additional resources become available.
Securing our future drop by drop
In 1900, the Castle Rock Journal highlighted our role as a leader in long-term water planning and conservation. After 130 years, Castle Rock Water continues this leadership role and takes to heart its responsibility to protect and preserve the Town's precious resource.
We take our mission very seriously - to provide our community with exceptional service that protects public health and balances social, environmental and fiscal responsibilities in a sustainable manner.
Castle Rock Water is municipally-owned and provides three distinct water services -- drinking water, wastewater and stormwater.
Our drinking water service consists of several treatment plants including our flagship, Plum Creek Water Purification Facility which expanded to include Advanced Treatment in 2020 and ensures safe and reliable water to Town residents and businesses.
Water service includes acquiring the sources of water and ensuring supply for our customers now and in the future. As part of this service, we also protect public health by providing safe drinking water and sufficient supplies for fire safety.
Wastewater is the proper conveyance and treatment of the used water from homes and businesses. Castle Rock Water manages the sewer lines and systems for wastewater in the Town and is a directorial partner in the regional wastewater treatment facility.
Castle Rock Water also manages stormwater which is the rainfall, snow melt and runoff that flows through our community. Stormwater management minimizes flooding and maintains water quality as is flows through the community.
We welcome an engaged community and invite our customers to stay informed with how Castle Rock Water serves our community and is making huge strides in ensuring a strong water future.
